Private Violin Lessons (For Beginners or Intermediate Level)Translate this text using Google Translate.

The violin is an instrument that speaks directly to the imagination. Many people dream of playing it — whether inspired by classical music, film soundtracks, folk music, or simply the beauty of its sound. Maybe you are discovering the violin for the first time, or perhaps you would like to reconnect with the instrument after playing it in childhood. Whatever your starting point, you are warmly welcome to begin or continue your musical journey with me. As a conservatory-trained musician with teaching experience at beginner and intermediate level, I guide students through the fundamentals of violin playing in a clear, patient, and supportive way. Together we work on posture, bow technique, intonation, rhythm, sound production, musicality, and developing confidence with the instrument. For me, learning the violin is not only about technique, but also about expression and finding your own voice through music. Every student has a different personality, sensitivity, and way of learning, so I adapt each lesson to your individual needs, goals, and pace. I believe music should feel alive, inspiring, and enjoyable. My teaching style is positive, flexible, and encouraging. I want students to feel comfortable exploring, making mistakes, and gradually building a genuine connection with the violin and with music itself.

Private violin lessons, music theory and appreciation.Translate this text using Google Translate.

Hi, I'm Stephanie, professional violinist and teacher with more than 10 years of teaching experience, working with students from young beginners through to ATCL diploma level. I trained at the Conservatoire Royal de Liège in the Franco-Belgian violin tradition and currently perform with the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra. My teaching combines strong technical foundations with listening, musical curiosity and confidence. Growing up in Hong Kong, I began my own violin studies with the Suzuki Method, and I am now continuing my training in Suzuki pedagogy. I particularly value its emphasis on learning through listening, positive encouragement and developing good habits naturally. I want lessons to be enjoyable and encouraging, while still giving students the tools to become thoughtful and independent musicians. My experience includes individual teaching as well as orchestras, bands and ensembles, so rhythm, listening to others and making music together are also important parts of my teaching. Lessons are adapted to each student's age, level and goals, whether learning for enjoyment or preparing for exams, competitions and performances. Previous students have progressed from beginner to ATCL level, with several receiving prizes at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.

Adapted tuition for violin and solfege // Private violin lessonsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Violinist graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, I have several years of educational experiences. I propose adapted courses for all levels. I taught at the conservatory, and in music school. The courses are divided into several parts. The first is learning the basics (for beginners), the technique of the violin, then the consolidation of the notions of solfège and finally the discovery of pieces. I work in a fun, but demanding way while listening to students. My methods vary according to the needs of the students. I have been teaching for 10 years. I have helped many students get started, and they are now able to enjoy playing all types of repertoire. I also guide more advanced students in their artistic development. My teaching allows students to become independent while developing their musicality. I am a graduate violinist from the royal conservatory of Brussels with several years of teaching experience. I offer violin lessons for all levels and which are suitable for all that cater to the needs of each student. Lessons contain several elements. The first one will focus on the basics (for beginners) of violin technic (skills, bowing exercises, tuning...), some point about notation and musical culture and finally discovering new pieces and learning difference approaches to violin playing (different style). I like to work in relaxed but demanding way, always attentive to the student's needs. I adapt my methods to each and every person.

I recently started taking violin lessons from Christian. As someone who has 0 experience with the violin, or any other instrument for that matter, I was a bit nervous but excited. Despite my total lack of experience, Christian is incredibly patient, he never rushes me and always takes the time to answer my questions, no matter how basic. We started with the absolute basics, which is exactly what I needed. He finds a way to explain complicated things in a way that makes sense to me, which makes the whole process less intimidating. His teaching style is perfect for someone like me, coming into music with no background. I wholeheartedly recommend Christian to anyone who's been thinking about picking up the violin! His patience, expertise, insightfulness and supportive nature have made my start in music both enjoyable and fulfilling. Bonus points for speaking English.

I am extremely pleased with the lessons Paula gaves. I feel extremely lucky to have met her and to be able to be taught by her. She is a very nice and kind person, very open and knows how to communicate well. She gives great advice, is really attentive, plays amazingly and every lesson with her is just pure joy. She really makes it easy and very understandable for everyone, even someone like me, who didn't know how to play violin at all.

I’m very pleased with Jannes. He is a conscientious teacher and makes sure to adapt the lesson to my needs and aspirations, whether it is in Russian or Dutch. Jannes additionally works on offering a great variety of content to work on, making the lessons continuously interesting. My knowledge and confidence level have definitely increased since I started working with Jannes.
