Hello! My name is Ana, I am 32 years old and I am a violin teacher with 10+ years of teaching experience working with children and adults, specializing in creating a supportive environment for beginners and advanced players. I am based in Maastricht and I teach at my violin studio in Scharn. My teaching focuses on developing solid technique and musicality in a friendly and encouraging environment. I help students build a strong foundation and enjoy music-making. Over the years I have developed my own teaching method which includes elements from ABRSM, Trinity, Suzuki and Galamian methods, as well as covers standard violin repertoire. This makes learning structured and fun. For optimal development, I organize frequent lessons with the piano accompanist as well as a two class concerts per year in various locations in Maastricht, where everybody is welcome to join and support! Because I am always fully committed to my students, I like to study each case individually and prepare for each lesson beforehand. A bit about my teaching background: both my parents are violin teachers, so this is my world since I can remember. As soon as I started conservatory in London I started teaching privately and in a music school while I was studying performance and music pedagogy. I am proud to have very high-level students that have pursued a career in music and have become exceptional violinists. I currently divide my time between teaching violin and playing as Co-Principal second violin at Philharmonie Zuidnederland, as well as freelancing in other orchestras like Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonisch Orkest and Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest. I gained my Bachelor's Degree from the Royal College of Music in London with a specialization in teaching and a Master's Degree from Musikhochschule Lübeck. I was an academist at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in 2017/2018. Lessons can be in Dutch, English or Spanish.

A tenured violinist at the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège and a graduate of the Geneva University of Music (Bachelor), the Amsterdam Conservatory (Master) and the IMEP in Namur (Master in Pedagogy), I have 10 years of teaching experience. I teach classes for all ages and levels (French or English), no musical knowledge is required and the repertoire can include any style of music. Welcome to my profile! My name is Fabiola, and I am a violin and viola teacher and children’s orchestra conductor based in Maastricht. I work with students of all ages, creating a supportive, creative, and personalized learning environment where each student can grow at their own pace and enjoy making music. As an active orchestral performer, I bring my professional experience on stage directly into my teaching. I help students develop a solid technique while fostering musicality, expression, and confidence. I use a variety of teaching approaches, including Suzuki, ABRSM, Trinity, and Galamian methods, adapting them to each student’s age, personality, and goals. In my lessons, I also focus on how to practice effectively at home, tackle challenging passages, and prepare confidently for public performances. I began my musical journey with El Sistema in Venezuela and continued my studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, specializing in both performance and pedagogy. I completed a Master’s in Violin Performance with a focus on Spanish music, as well as a symphonic master’s in collaboration with the Spanish Radio and Television Orchestra (Orquesta RTVE). I currently collaborate with the Philharmonie Zuidnederland and the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, while also teaching private violin and viola lessons. I believe that discipline and enjoyment go hand in hand, and I enjoy guiding each student in their artistic and personal growth.

My lessons are offered to every age and level, in my experience as a private music school teacher I could teach to children and adults starting out and students preparing conservatory entrance exam. My intent is to create a playful and flowing environment to reach the relax of body and mind during the lesson, the first things that you need when you approach the instrument. The lessons are 1 hour long. I don't speak Dutch so the lessons can be in English.

I offer individual violin lessons for beginners, advanced players and music students. My particular focus is on Baroque music and historically informed performance practice. For the past three years, I have been intensively studying the Baroque violin and the music of the 17th and 18th centuries. In my teaching, I convey not only technical fundamentals but also stylistic understanding, phrasing, articulation, and the characteristic sound of Baroque music. In addition, I naturally also teach the classical violin repertoire. Lessons cover playing technique, bowing, intonation, vibrato, scales, musical expression, and efficient practice. I'm happy to support you with entrance exams, competitions, orchestra auditions, or when learning new pieces. Each lesson is individually tailored to your goals and skill level.
