Singing classes - Vocal Technique - Vocal Coach - Singing lessonsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Learning to sing doesn't always have to be a frustrated dream, we can all do it well, either as a hobby or because we want to be professionals. My name is Catalina and I am a singer, I teach other people because connecting through music is my passion. I always work the classes under two principles: 1. Keep the class light and fun. 2. That everything in class is understandable and clear (if I have to repeat 80 times, no problem). Methodology of the classes: Classes can be taught at my home, the student's home, or virtually. In the first class, a repertoire of approximately 2 or 3 songs is defined, which correspond to the student's taste as well as the vocal challenges they face, and an evaluation of strengths and challenges in learning is made. In general all classes are divided into 3 parts: 1. Body warm-up (stretching, breathing exercises and activation of important muscles for singing). 2. Vocal warm-up through exercises to strengthen agility, tuning, phrasing and support. 3. Repertoire work where each of the details of the song being sung is reviewed, paying special attention to the most difficult parts of the song. I have been fortunate to be able to teach children, adolescents, adults and seniors.

Singing lessons in English for all levels by professional voice teacher, vocal coach and singerTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Singing lessons in English for all levels by professional voice teacher, vocal coach and singerTranslate this text using Google Translate.

I'm a former New York City voice teacher/coach, professional singer and an award winning composer who has relocated to Berlin. I've taught with the most reputable children's musical theatre organizations in NYC with students of all ages as well as private students and I've worked with Broadway stars such as Laura Osnes, Karen Mason and Ron Bohmer, who have also recorded my music, and I'm excited to bring my 20 yrs of teaching experience to Berlin! I teach songwriting as well, if that is something you're interested in. I'm a classically trained singer who performed with the San Francisco Opera and other companies both in opera and musical theatre for many years. Though I specialize now in musical theatre, I am happy and comfortable teaching you to sing in whatever style you prefer. The basics are the same! In our lessons, we will work on breath, correct vowel pronunciation, placement, diction, etc... as well as getting rid of the tension and habits that keep us from singing freely and beautifully. We will also work on the musical and dramatic aspects of the material we choose together, so that you will feel comfortable at an audition or a performance. And I keep lessons fun so that you can both learn and progress each week AND enjoy yourself! Whether just starting out or a professional who needs help working on an audition or role, I can help you reach your goals!

Singing lessons, healthy enjoyment! If you are singing, you can let go of everything else and that gives a wonderful feeling of relaxationTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Your body is your instrument when singing. We try to make that instrument sound as beautiful as possible by working on sound formation. This allows the vocal cords to move more freely, so that you get tired less quickly when singing. Your voice becomes fuller and you can sing higher and lower notes. During the singing lessons we also work on articulation, the pronunciation of foreign languages and also on the meaning of and your feelings about a particular piece. Of course you decide what kind of music you will sing. Whether you sing alone in the shower or whether you are in a choir and encounter certain difficulties in general or with a specific piece? Please feel free to bring your choir part to class and we will see together how we can make this easier for you. We work on repertoire that you love. We can also make a journey of discovery together to your favorite music. WHO CAN LEARN TO SING? Everyone can learn to sing. Because of the singing lessons you will notice that singing becomes easier. Moreover, singing is good for relaxation, both of body and mind. Singing is just enjoying! YOUR OWN INSTRUMENT As a singer you already have one advantage over instrumentalists: you do not have to buy an (expensive) instrument. You always have your instrument with you, but... you have to take good care of your instrument!

Find Your Unique Voice: Singing Lessons for Technique, Confidence and ExpressionTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Do you want to sing with more confidence, understand your voice and express yourself freely? I believe that everyone can learn to sing. Every voice is unique, and my role is to help you explore its possibilities while developing solid, healthy vocal foundations. I am a singer-songwriter, composer and vocal coach with a musical background in violin, piano and singing. I lead two original music projects: Sephora Kilbee, my solo project, and Crow Time, a French-Mexican band. I also write songs for other artists, collaborate with international musicians and producers, and produce music using Logic Pro. From 2021 to 2024, I performed a leading role in the musical Novice et le Dragon, gaining extensive experience in live performance, vocal interpretation and stage presence. I also taught singing and piano for one year at a music school and now work with students of different ages, levels and musical backgrounds. What we can work on: + Breath support + Pitch accuracy + Resonance + Vocal registers + Chest voice, head voice and mixed voice + Vocal flexibility + Dynamics + Power and belting + Interpretation, emotion and phrasing + Confidence and presence + Songwriting and artistic identity How does a lesson work? + We discuss how your voice feels and what you would like to work on + We begin with gentle exercises to release tension and prepare the voice + We work on the different resonators, vocal placement and coordination between chest, mixed and head voice. The exercises are designed to improve vocal flexibility and help you move more freely + We apply the exercises to a song chosen according to your level, musical taste and goals + We explore the phrasing and dynamics so that the song feels yours + At the end of the lesson, I give you clear feedback and simple exercises to practise between sessions Who are the lessons for? The lessons are open to all levels. No previous experience is required, but commitment, regular practice and a serious approach are essential. My teaching approach I teach with precision, empathy and patience, adapting each lesson to the student. Desire, enjoyment and creativity always come first. My goal is to help you understand your voice, build reliable technique and expand your vocal possibilities without forcing it into a fixed model. Technique should always serve creativity. It is there to support your expression, giving you more choices, confidence and freedom.

vocal accompaniment focusing on singing, breath control, body awareness, and public speaking.Translate this text using Google Translate.

Have you always dreamed of singing, but feel blocked? Do you have a voice that tires easily, shortness of breath, tension in your throat, neck or jaw? Or do you simply want to express yourself better, sing with more freedom, speak in public with more confidence, and feel more comfortable in your body? In my approach, the voice is not just a matter of technique. It is linked to the body, breath, emotions, tension, and the nervous system. That's why I offer vocal work that combines vocal technique, breathing, body awareness, emotional regulation, stress management, and the joy of exploration. During a lesson, we work according to your needs: breathing, support, resonance, pitch, diction, interpretation, but also physical tensions that can block the voice. We can work from a sung piece, a spoken text, a public speaking exercise, or simply explore the voice gradually. I place great importance on safety, kindness, and playfulness. To free the voice, you sometimes have to accept making strange, funny, or imperfect sounds. This allows you to let go of judgment, release control, and rediscover a more natural, vibrant, and authentic voice. My courses are aimed at beginner or advanced singers, choir members, artists, introverts who wish to express their inner world, as well as professionals who use their voice a lot and want to speak with more presence, comfort and confidence. For me, the voice is an extension of oneself. Singing or speaking then becomes a path to better know oneself, regulate oneself, express oneself and rediscover the joy of being fully present.

Passionate Poets, Singers, Freestylers & Rappers 101Translate this text using Google Translate.

Passionate Poets, Singers, Freestylers & Rappers 101Translate this text using Google Translate.

This 30 minute class is learner guided/directed and designed specifically to bring out the creativity hidden inside you. Each week every learner gets the chance to write a creative piece and share it with the teachers, if they choose to; this class also suits a solo learner. There will be opportunities to produce a poem/freestyle at the end of class. The last 10-15 minutes of class will be The Freestyle Poetry Slam! You will be encourage to develop your poem and taught how to perform it for a Poetry Slam in your area. You will leave the class feeling happy and proud that you have made up your own creative piece to perform to friends and family! This is what AI said about our first 2 lessons: Lesson 1 In this meeting, we covered the basics of meter, rhythm, and poetry devices like metaphor and simile as they apply to rap and freestyle. We led a fun word game where participants quickly brainstormed related words, then challenged them to freestyle short rhymes using those words. We emphasized the importance of confidence, explaining that the key to freestyle is having a solid rhythmic framework and not worrying about perfection. We also discussed ways to build vocabulary and transition smoothly between rhyme schemes. We provided feedback on the participants' initial freestyle attempts, offering constructive suggestions for improvement. We ended by highlighting next week's focus on metaphor and simile, and asked the participant to come prepared with a list of their favorite rappers to discuss further. Lesson 2 In today's class, we focused on exploring the use of metaphors and similes, two important literary devices in poetry and rap. We watched a video that provided an overview of these concepts, discussing how they can be used to vividly convey big ideas or emotions in a concise way. We then practiced identifying metaphors and similes, and the students generated their own examples connected to the words we uncovered in a matching game. This led to a creative writing exercise where they composed rhyming couplets using those words as a starting point. The students demonstrated strong skills in bridging the words into cohesive narratives, showcasing their ability to think creatively and apply the literary techniques we covered. We also had a lively discussion about the role of memory and vocabulary in freestyle rapping, and how these foundational skills support more advanced performance abilities.

I consider myself an intermediate level singer (have had four years of opera training) so listening to feedback was challenging from a new observer. It was only the first lesson so I need to do more to gauge our compatibility but he definitely seems knowledgeable about voices and ways to improve just based off of a few sounds, which I found interesting and impressive. I articulated my goals and he believes he can help me get there. He is direct and to the point - also a quality I appreciate. We'll see. But so far so good ;)

If you’re a beginner when it comes to singing and want to try out some classes, I highly recommend Laura. She takes things at your pace, while also encouraging you to explore your voice. I came into the first session singing very shyly, but that fear of making mistakes was thrown out of the window within a few sessions. Laura is well-organized as a teacher, enthusiastic, supportive, and helps you improve your singing while making it fun and motivating. <3

I really enjoyed my lesson with Francesca. She has a bright appearance and uplifting energy and teaches very clear, practical and gives a lot of great tips in her lesson. She observes well and is on it. I could really feel the change in my singing, during the lesson. Excited to practice more and to book a new lesson.
