I am currently studying at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne for a Master's degree in instrumental pedagogy and I benefit from it every day. I love teaching and sharing my knowledge with others! Profile of the teacher: I graduated from the master of pedagogy of the Lausanne University of Music in violin. I also played the piano for a few years, which allows me to accompany the students in their songs. Student profile searched: My classes are for students of all levels, beginner to advanced. The ideal starting point for the violin is to start young between 5 and 8 years old in order to develop bodily sensations more easily with the violin. If you are an adult musician, learning the violin is just as possible. Finally, if you want to start the violin without making any music beforehand, it will be important to familiarize yourself with reading notes, rhythms and singing :) Methods used: I adapt the methods according to the profile of the students. For young students, I prefer fun, illustrated methods, often with CD to accompany them. For the older ones, I try to balance between technical studies and pieces and also adapts to their request. For young children, I note the important elements seen in class and things to do in a small notebook. The presence of a parent who supervises the practice outside the classes would be optimal! I offer individual violin lessons for beginners, advanced players and music students. My particular focus is on Baroque music and historically informed performance practice. For the past three years, I have been intensively studying the Baroque violin and the music of the 17th and 18th centuries. In my teaching, I convey not only technical fundamentals but also stylistic understanding, phrasing, articulation, and the characteristic sound of Baroque music. In addition, I naturally also teach the classical violin repertoire. Lessons cover playing technique, bowing, intonation, vibrato, scales, musical expression, and efficient practice. We work on the essential fundamentals: posture, bow hold, intonation, tone, and basic musicality. Emphasis is placed on a clear progression adapted to each student. I am an Albanian violinist, with a Bachelor degree in Classical Music (Violin) and Musicologie in Sorbonne University. Over the years, my experiences with different youth and professional orchestras all around Europe have made me understand that music is important not only for professional musicians but also for everyone. I have played the violin for over 20 years and am currently doing a master ́s of music in violin. Music is my passion, I have been teaching violin for 5 years, in music schools as well as privately from the ages of 7 to 60. My aim in teaching is to enable the student to experience the beauty, richness and also the fun side of music, by helping to develop the technical skills needed to express oneself on the violin. I find it very important to take into account the personal goals and wishes of the student and to create an atmosphere of encouragement, creativity and mutual understanding. No matter if you are interested in learning to play your favourite tunes just for fun or want to build up strong, solid technique and play demanding repertoire, I would be happy to work with you.The world of music is incredibly rich and I would love to help you on the exciting journey of discovering it. I believe it important to have variety in the process of learning and to help the student to develop good practising habits. For those interested, I can also gladly include some music theory/music history knowledge in the lessons, to understand the pieces on a more profound level.
