After two years in ECS preparatory class at Louis-Le-Grand, I joined ESSEC Business School and then the engineering school CentraleSupélec (formerly Ecole Centrale Paris) in a double degree program.
After three 20/20 scores in the mathematics sections of the entrance exams, I improved my level in this subject to prepare for admission to CentraleSupélec.
I am thoroughly familiar with the preparatory classes for business schools (ECS and ECE) (as well as those for high school), and I am used to tutoring at all levels (middle school, high school, preparatory classes including those for the second year of preparatory classes). In particular, I gave math practice exams to first-year business school students at Louis-Le-Grand throughout the lockdown.
I make it a point to emphasize above all else that the student understands the lesson: in my opinion, it is essential to fully grasp the concepts before putting them into practice. To meet this requirement, I help the student integrate the theoretical concepts at the beginning of each session.
Then, especially for students in preparatory classes, I usually train them on exam questions, starting with exercises from past papers (like those from EM/EDHEC) to check that they have a good grasp of the material. Then, when the student feels confident, we tackle questions from the so-called "Parisian" schools. The goal is to prepare the student as best as possible to face these challenging, but far from insurmountable, exams!
