Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 12 years of practice teaching people how to do it. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board. We also learn how to make gold leaf layer on the halos. Your icon will be a real, crafted icon.

INTRODUCTION (scroll down for the course description — see below) I'm a young professional in the film industry and have worked with partners such as Vice, Sony, Unicef and WWF, as well as many musicians, architects, non-profit organizations and independent creators. My experience spans director, editor, DOP, assistant editor, focus puller, author, electrician and production assistant. I studied Cinema at LUCA School of Arts Brussels and Supermedia at UMPRUM in Prague. My strength lies mainly in combining music and cinematography: experimental video art, arthouse films, music videos, and dance and music films. I also completed training in team coordination, so I can edit efficiently and stay organised. I work both for large companies and the music industry, as well as on small, independent project, depending on whether the music speaks to me. I'll teach you how to edit videos and films, for personal or commercial use. My software of choice is the full Adobe suite; for sound I use Ableton, and to a lesser extent Pro Tools. I've completed several artistic residencies as part of my own practice and describe myself as a multidisciplinary artist. My work has appeared in several international magazines with around 700,000 monthly readers, and has received international attention. I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen. I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist. I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns. In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on. You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns. Finding, discussing and retaking solutions together are the core of my classes.

Private Painting and Drawing lessons, any level! I am a classically trained painter, I have been painting seriously for 20 years and studied intensively in Florence, Italy. I will teach you the basics about light, form, line, colour and space, and how to constantly grow and improve. We start with drawing from observation and continue to other mediums, including oil paint, once the student is ready. Landscape, still life, portrait, expressive. My goal is to help my students improve every time and reach a new level. I provide many examples from art history as well as my own work, and give lots of demonstrations. I offer a personalized approach fitted to each student. The classes are in a small group format, no more than 4 at a time and each student works at their own pace, it is private classes with other students present, offering a supportive environment in which to learn and grow. Each student receives personalized instruction at their own level. Each student is guaranteed to improve. I ask for a commitment of 5 lessons at a time to see some improvement, and I accept students who are looking for longer term learning. Commitment is a must to grow! Learning Sculpture: From Classicism to Abstraction. Sculpture classes for amateurs or beginners. Starting with bas-relief and progressing to sculpture in the round. I offer classical or abstract training in contemporary art, allowing you to explore your imagination and/or create figurative figures. The course is obviously based on your interests. If you're interested in learning practical sculpting techniques, such as figurative art, we'll focus on that. If you're more drawn to a more abstract form of expression, I'll guide you through your more fantastical ideas. Once your pieces are made, we will think together about the best finishes, whether it be molding and casting in plaster, or ceramic firing of the work. Your productions in progress will be protected and handled with care, and any production that passes the final molding or baking stage will belong to you; I will ask you to take them back when they are finished. The figurative and abstract art courses offer different paths, which can obviously be combined to achieve an interesting middle ground. The figurative course provides busts and plaster casts from which to create models, allowing you to better understand the forms of the face, body, and volumes that make up the human being. Anatomical references will also be available as needed; for example, when working on the torso in modeling, I will present you with advanced anatomical references that you can keep. The course on abstraction operates on another axis, freer, where it will be your ideas above all which will build your path, with technical help from me, advice and helping hands when you need it. You can combine these two courses and I will gladly accompany you on this more mixed path. Since sculpture is a medium that takes up space, your works should not exceed certain dimensions, which will be determined based on your desires and ambitions. Materials are provided: clay, plaster, modeling tools, and other tools. The quantities of clay and plaster will vary depending on your artwork and the chosen method; this variation may affect the price. For example, a piece requiring 5-10 kilos of clay will be less expensive than one requiring twice that amount. Silicone molding may also incur higher costs. ENGLISH: Learning Sculpture: From Classicism to Abstract Art. Sculpture classes for amateurs or beginners, starting with low relief and progressing to free-standing sculpture. I teach classical or abstract contemporary art, allowing you to explore your more abstract ideas, or the creation of figures and portraits. The course is, of course, tailored to your interests. If you're focused on learning specific sculpting techniques in combination with figurative work—we'll concentrate on that. If you're more interested in a more abstract form of expression, I'll accompany you on your creative path. Once your pieces are completed, we will discuss the best finishing options together, whether that involves casting in plaster or firing the work in a kiln. Your works-in-progress will be protected and handled with care, and any piece that reaches the final stage of casting or firing will belong to you; I will ask you to collect them once they are finished. The class is meant for those who wish to enter the world of performance art - an experimental art form that originated in the 1960s in the United States. My intention with the lessons is to teach a student how to begin an independent artistic practice as a performance artist through practical exercises, readings, and analysis of performances (on photos, video and in events we would visit together). The basic theory and history of performance art are introduced so the student can get oriented in the respective art context. If desired, the class can go deeper in theory with the readings from the related field of Performance Studies. While performance ART is an artistic field, performance STUDIES is wider academic discipline working with the notion of performance not only in art but also in the sports, rituals, play, every day, sex, technology, business and elsewhere. I base the class on my years-long artistic, theoretical and curatorial practices and on my education in the field (BA in Site-Specific Performance, ongoing MA in Live Art and Performance Studies, BA in General Art Studies).

Getting started in photography doesn’t have to be challenging. I'll start with digital and analog camera basics and provide a thorough explanation on photography elementary concepts like Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO. I will also provide a guide on Color Theory in photography and how to do Narrative photography. If possible, there will be practice classes on the field taking pictures around the city. If the person is interested, I will also teach the basics about analog photography (including how to handle an analog camera, the types of roles that exist and how the developing process works). I will use mainly videos and my own presentations but I can provide a range of additional materials if necessary.
