Hi, my name is Jeremy and I've played music for 19 years, having performed over 200 concerts and composed with a wide variety of groups and ensembles across England and Belgium in many genres (Funk, R&B, Soul, Jazz, Rock, Alternative, Punk and more). I have completed 3 years of intensive bass study at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and am currently playing bass plus backing-vocals and song arrangement for Kids of the Elephant and Arrubio. Hello, my name is Victor, I am 24 years old and I am currently a student at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I play in different musical projects with artists such as Youssef Swatt's, Lena Deluxe, Bim Boom Bap... My teaching focuses on spontaneous and mainly oral learning of music. There is no need to know music theory. I will discuss some theoretical notions depending on what we are working on together, and your curiosity on this subject. I would emphasize listening, rhythm and playing in pairs. There will be part of the work devoted to instrumental technique (how to get a beautiful sound out of the instrument, how to play without getting tired or injured, what are the different ways of making a guitar/bass guitar sound depending on the style) , and the rest of the time we can work on pieces, tackle improvisation, group playing, composition, or other subjects depending on your requests. My musical journey: I am currently a student at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in jazz and before that I spent 2 years at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Lille in jazz bass/double bass and classical double bass. I also graduated from EF2M in Tourcoing. I started music at the age of 8 with the piano, then I turned to the guitar at 12 and then to the electric bass at 16. When I entered the Lille Conservatory, I also took up the double bass. I practiced several styles: jazz, rock, blues, metal, classical, soul, funk, etc... and the fact of having played several instruments helps me to have a more global vision of music, and to find what is interesting in each of the styles. This openness I want to pass on in my classes. I have several years of stage experience with different projects, and I have also worked in the studio, notably with the house music artist Bellaire.

Hello I'm a professional bass player living in Amsterdam. I have a passion for teaching and passing on some of the knowledge that I have acquired during my studies at several schools and heard from the musicians I look up to. I've done my bachelor degree at The Royal Academy of Music in Denmark, and I finished my Masters at Conservatorium van Amsterdam in 2024. I teach double bass, electric bass and composition. Musically I try to be as open as I can. For me it doesn't matter if it's free jazz, traditional jazz, pop or metal as long as it feels good. I'm a leader of my own group where we combine jazz and indie rock. we will release our debut album this fall. I'm also a sideman in several groups. As for composition I have experience with composing for regular jazz groups, big band, string quartet and irregular constellations such as my band with three guitars and three horns. Some thoughts about teaching: I believe that the most important thing when teaching is having a good relation to one another and generally just having a good time. If we don't enjoy the process we don't learn. You should feel comfortable saying how you feel and what you want to learn/don't want to learn. With that transparency I will be able to customize the teaching and balance the curriculum so that I meet your needs while pushing you into unknown territory.
