Currently a 2nd year student at INSA Toulouse in the international program, I offer private lessons in the Toulouse area for middle and high school students in Mathematics, Physics-Chemistry, Engineering Sciences and English. Having taken all my courses in English during my first year, I am able to offer support in scientific subjects in English as well. As a volunteer at my school, I offer personalized one-on-one tutoring to first-year students who request it. My experience has taught me to adapt to the level, questions, and needs of my students. I am available on weekdays and weekends, and especially during the April holidays, allowing me to support my students in preparing for the brevet or baccalaureate exams. Hello! I'm Sylvain, a Native French and English second language speaker. I lived in France 21 years, 10 years in the UK and 3 years in Asia. I passed my Post-Graduate Certificate in Education this year studying in the University of Oxford. I also hold a UK Masters with Commendation in Music, Film and Media and a French undergraduate degree in Audiovisual. I have been teaching for 3 years in Ghana, Scotland, Hong Kong and the UK to students aged 2 to 45 years old, in schools, learning centres and as a personal tutor. I have also worked in the corporate world in London for 8 years and know the reality of job market, job applications and private sector culture. Teacher license holder (2016) and master in translation (2018) in Moscow, I have been teaching FLE, English and Russian for 6 years. What languages do I teach? 1. English. I give English lessons to students of all ages at Beginner (A1), Elementary (A1 +), Pre-Intermediate (A2), Intermediate (B1), Upper-Intermediate (B2) levels. I help fill in the gaps, catch up on the school curriculum and remove language barriers. With adults, you usually learn English from the start, remember the language after several years of interruption, or prepare to travel abroad. 2. Russian. Originally from Russia, I offer Russian lessons for all levels: beginner, intermediate or advanced. I know the difficulties that a French speaker can have while learning the Russian language and I can learn to overcome them. 3. FLE. I teach French as a foreign language to students of all levels. I help children adapt to the school curriculum in France and adults to perfect the language for effective work, higher education and easy communication in France. Holder of the DALF C1 diploma, I also prepare for the DELF and DALF exams. How do I organize the lessons? Usually the course duration is 60 minutes. The number of lessons per week is discussed in advance. For each pupil I choose textbooks and teaching materials. If a student is preparing for exams, I perform regular checkups. I organize lessons in a structured and logical way, knowing how to explain difficult things in a simple way. I use different methods of teaching languages depending on the needs of a student.
