In my experience, when you practice drumming, you want it to be as enjoyable as possible, and at the same time, you want to progress as much as possible. For beginners, I recommend going to my first class with three goals: to establish a steady rhythm awareness, start building good hand technique and teach them a basic drum rhythm...and most importantly make it as fun and enjoyable as possible! I have been playing and teaching this amazing instrument for almost 20 years and would simply like to pass my knowledge on to future drummers. It's also a great exercise to improve coordination, timing, and rhythm. I've been teaching percussion, the drums and music theory for a little more than 4 years now. My students are always the real actors of my courses.
