Student at the Antwerp Conservatory, I give guitar lessons in Brussels for all levels and all styles.Translate this text using Google Translate.

Good morning! Let me introduce myself, my name is Sacha, I'm 22 years old, I live in Brussels and I had the opportunity to do 3 years of jazz guitar in Antwerp. I've been making music for a few years now, but I've also been interested in other instruments (bass, drums, piano, production)! I give private lessons for beginners and intermediates, the theory is not compulsory, and I adapt to the student so that we reach our goals as quickly as possible! The most important thing for me is that as the lessons progress, the student gains autonomy, the lessons are aimed at both children and adults who want to deepen their knowledge of the guitar (or music theory). All levels and all ages are welcome, I have already had the opportunity to give lessons to people who have never touched a guitar, as well as to more advanced people. I adapt according to the student's requests and prerequisites to provide them with a program that suits them best. I like to give small objectives, so that the student can directly see their improvement in the short term, as well as longer-term objectives, which will be worked on regularly during the lessons. I started playing guitar with rock, then moved on to a more rock/funk side and it's been 3 years now that I've focused on jazz. But I regularly come back to my first loves!

I had previously played some classical for a few years, but was looking to learn jazz piano and improvisation as well. For this David is ideal, as he studied both as a classical and jazz musician, and has a deep understanding of each. About half the lessons we focus on jazz improvisation. During the lessons I improvise over a few songs, and each session he gives feedback, while adding a new layer of difficulty. We've also worked a lot on rhythm, which has really helped me bridge the gap between classical and jazz. We spent a few lessons on classical pieces as well, to refine technique and musicality. My playing feels much more fluid and musical already, and he's really helpful/knowledgeable with the details. Also, on the weeks where I did have not had much time to practice, we do a more (jazz) theory oriented lesson, which has also helped alot with my improvisation. Overall, I only have positive things to say about the lessons! David is a very easy-going teacher, and from the first lesson I felt very comfortable asking him questions. He's very versatile as well, and easily adapts the lesson according to what suits us best that week.

The first thing I would have to highlight about Alí is the good energy he offers you. You really find yourself in a calm and motivating work environment where you can really improve your musical knowledge. Alí strives to adjust his work method to what you need as a student, keeping in mind your musical taste to work through it. I am really happy to work and build up myself musically with him. Really recommendable!

In this lesson, Ostap went through the details of liber tango with me and taught me chords in F major. He is very professional, patient and good humored. He incorporates accordion learning and music theory in a way that one builds a solid musical mind for future self learning. I strongly recommend his music lessons!
