I am a professional visual artist with more than 30 years of experience exhibiting, researching and developing my practice internationally. I offer individual art lessons and mentoring for students of different ages and levels, from beginners who want to learn how to draw or paint to more experienced artists who want to develop a stronger and more personal body of work. Lessons are adapted to each student. We can work with observational drawing, painting, composition, materials and technique, but also with ideas, references, art history, sketchbooks and the development of your own visual language. I also work with students preparing portfolios and applications for art schools, universities, residencies and other professional opportunities, as well as artists who feel stuck and want to rethink or strengthen their creative practice. My aim is not simply to teach you how to reproduce an image, but to help you understand what you want to make, why you want to make it, and how to develop the skills and references necessary to make it your own. Classes are available in English or Portuguese and are shaped around your interests, experience and goals.

Basics of Watercolor Painting. Use of Bushes, choice of paper and surfaces, techniques, tools, and materials are provided for in person classes. Tools and materials required for web lesson will not be provided. Landscape, still life, and portrait are the main subjects covered.

We’ll paint, glue, cut, sprinkle glitter, and turn everyday ideas into awesome creations kids will be excited to show off. This class is all about exploring, trying new things, building confidence, and having FUN while we create. No pressure to be “perfect,” just a welcoming space where little artists can express themselves, make friends, and leave with big smiles (and maybe a little paint on their sleeves 🤭).

Taught by a recent UGA Graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree who is passionate and dedicated to teaching! Classes include a lesson, an activity, and homework/sketchbook assignments. Worksheets will be provided. A package of five lessons includes a shortened version of the curriculum, whereas a package of ten lessons goes more in-depth and has time for student-driven activities. In this class, the discussions will be very different per individual and what they want to achieve out of this course. For some, that may be finding a consistent art style that feels right to them, or maybe they need to find a simplified style for their comics or animations. Maybe they love their style, but something feels wrong, or they need direction on how to advance their skills. I can give insight to all of it! I specialize in using Clip Studio Paint, though I've dabbled in Procreate and many physical mediums. However, the medium will only be important in the case that the student requests information on how to achieve a certain look to their art via tools and not skillset. (ex: how to tween on CSP)

In the modern world, many people have the ability to take a picture. With such a vast accessibility to photography, how does one distinguish the difference between a "good" photo and one that might not be memorable? How can the way a collection of photos is selected, formatted, and sequenced give meaning? In this course, students will begin by learning the basic functions of a camera, including ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. A manual film or digital camera is required for the course As the class continues, we will discuss styles of photography, notable photographers in history, and how to derive meaning from your images. Instructor will provide constructive feedback on the student's work and will direct the course based on the student's unique interests and style.

With handmade projects and interactive lessons, I teach fundamental art which is easy on the eyes. I am state certified gifted in Visual Arts in the state of Ohio, but my focus has always been on illustration for children’s novels or creating works of peace and ease. I specialize in drawing and painting, but I recognize that drawing is the foundation of art. It is also about being attentive and observant. Anyone could draw and it starts with looking carefully. This class is for aspiring artists, or anyone who wants to learn how to draw. My goal is to keep students inspired. I want to make each lesson personalized depending on what the student wants to learn while also introducing them to the foundational techniques of drawing.

In this class we will delve into different styles of painting and exploring different mediums, mixing and understanding the benefit and downfall of each, while exploring creative expressions. I will explore simple to complicated techniques all achievable for beginner artists. My goal is that at the end of each class we will have made something that can be improved with each class.

Arts and Crafts , Focus , 7 core elements of Design in their drawings , Line, Shape Form, Value, Space, Texture and Colors. They will also learn about contour shapes, patterns, and composition, and will have the opportunity to work with a range of drawing media.

Origami is the ancient art of paper folding, but sometimes its popularity is not present in more western cultures, that is why I want to bring them closer to you! in classes to go from knowing nothing to handling figures of variable difficulty and everything that involves forming figures or models of this caliber. look for your expression in art with a simple paper.

Do you have stock footage but don't know how to start a project? When we take pictures intuitively, our own semiotics is hidden. In this workshop we will help you identify your visual language. In this process you will learn to reveal certain clues among your images to give them a narrative sense. The exercises we will share with you will make the ideas contained in your photos detonate a narrative that develops visually. If you have already started a personal project, this is the space to find routes and shortcuts that suggest new directions.

I specialize in Fire Performance. I have been performing all over the world for over 20 years. My main tool is Fire Poi. I also work with Staff and Double Staff. I would cover fire safety, object manipulation, state of flow and meditation, performance and sacred geometry. Students would eventually need materials for this class. The second class I offer is walking on a 1" slackline. Lessons will cover slackline safety, balance, core strength, meditation and how to set up a slackline. Students do not need materials for this class. The third class is Magic and sleight of hand. I am an intermediate magician specializing in close up magic and card tricks. Lessons would cover magic history, close up sleight of hand, card tricks, coin tricks, parlor tricks and stage magic. Students would need a deck of cards to begin. The fourth class is Leather art and tooling. I have been tooling and carving leather for over 15 years. I specialize in sacred geometry. Lessons would cover leather prepping, tooling, carving, stamping, molding and dying. Students would need to acquire their own tools and leather for this class. The fifth class is DJ and Production. I have been a DJ for 10 years and producing music for 15 years. My main DAW is FL Studio. I specialize in Tribal/World music. I have played tons of festivals all over the states. Students would need a laptop for this class.

Almost every musician can play some piano, but that does not mean they are pianists or piano teachers. I offer piano lessons at your place for an affordable price. I have a diploma in piano pedagogy. I studied didactics and methodology for teaching piano. I use modern methods and piano books. I have a big collection of music sheets available for my students. I am also interested in discovering historical methods of piano pedagogy that were used by the biggest composers such as W. A. Mozart and J. S. Bach. My experiences: I've been teaching for 12 years and have taught almost 40 students, among them around 5 adults. I have an individual approach that will fit your needs, for instance, we can strictly follow the piano books, or we can improvise and play songs without music score or without talking about music theory.
