HI,
in TEFL or ESL we don't speak the the language of the student. We will use games to get to a natural interaction, with word games, songs/lyrics, art, to express and learn English vocabulary, which includes listening, reading, writing comprehension, and pronunciation. I adapt to the students level and we might begin with vocabulary and visuals only as a base to build on. However the accent will be on the spoken word and not on grammar rules.
Watch my video and see if you like what you hear, is you want to give it a go in a trial lesson. You can bring comic books or illustrated books that you love to read or better understand and we can read them together at your pace. If it is too challenging you may ask questions in your your native tongue: French or Dutch.

About Me
Hallo allemaal, mijn naam is Alann. Ik ben een Vlaams-Nederlandse gecertificeerde leraar Engels en al 30 jaar lang een nomadische kunstenaar.
Ik heb in 46 landen gewoond waarvan vier maanden doorgebracht met inheemse gemeenschappen voornamelijk in Laos en in Brazilië.
Ik geef al vijf jaar Engelse les op 2 continenten, ook al is het niet mijn moedertaal.
Ik heb jaren ervaring in het lesgeven aan kinderen en volwassenen, van Zuid-Amerika tot in Zuid-en Zuid-Oost-Azië.
Tussen 2019 en 2020 heb ik workshops ontworpen en gecoördineerd voor Chinese eindejaars studenten en culturele activiteiten gecoördineerd in Sri Lanka.
Mijn passie voor onderwijs heb ik herontdekt na een lange pauze waarin ik me wilde focussen op mijn kunstprojecten.
Als polyglot spreek ik vlot vijf talen en ben ik hier om je te helpen zelfvertrouwen en vaardigheden op te bouwen in het Nederlands. Laten we samen de poëtische kracht van de taal van Vondel te ontdekken en je voorbereiden op een leerperiode van de Nederlands/Vlaamse taal en cultuur.

I give 10 minutes time for the students to introduce themselves in either English or French if you can't do it in Dutch yet. Then the next 20 minutes will be used to learn new vocabulary with which we will work to talk about yourselves and dreams for 15 to conclude a 45 minute lesson.
