Master Mathematics, Statistics, Probability & Data Analysis | Calculus, Econometrics, SPSS, Excel, Power BI & VisualizationTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Mathematics, statistics, and data analysis become much easier when formulas, reasoning, computation, and real-world interpretation are connected clearly. I am a PhD-qualified engineer, university professor, researcher, and multidisciplinary tutor with more than 30 years of experience in teaching, quantitative methods, mathematical problem solving, statistical analysis, research, engineering, data analysis, and professional decision support. This class provides a structured and personalized learning pathway for school and university students, graduate researchers, engineers, professionals, and adult learners. Depending on your goals, we can focus on one specific area or connect several areas into a coherent program. MATHEMATICS • Arithmetic, fractions, ratios, percentages, and mathematical foundations • Algebraic expressions, equations, inequalities, and systems • Functions, graphs, and transformations • Geometry and analytic geometry • Trigonometry • Precalculus • Limits and continuity • Differential calculus and applications • Integral calculus and applications • Sequences and series • Multivariable calculus • Linear algebra, matrices, vectors, and systems • Differential equations • Numerical methods • Applied and engineering mathematics STATISTICS, PROBABILITY & ECONOMETRICS • Descriptive statistics • Probability rules and probabilistic reasoning • Conditional probability, independence, Bayes’ theorem, and counting methods • Expected value, variance, covariance, and properties of common probability distributions • Random variables and probability distributions • Sampling and sampling distributions • Confidence intervals • Hypothesis testing • Correlation and regression • Multiple regression • ANOVA, ANCOVA, and MANOVA • Nonparametric methods • Multivariate statistical analysis • Econometrics and quantitative methods • Time-series analysis and forecasting • Mediation and moderation analysis • Statistical modelling and predictive analysis • Econometrics • Multiple regression • Time series • Forecasting • Mediation/moderation • Predictive analysis DATA ANALYSIS & VISUALIZATION • Data organization and quality assessment • Data cleaning and preparation • Data transformation, filtering, grouping, merging, and reshaping • Relationships between variables and graphical/statistical diagnostics • Missing values, duplicates, inconsistencies, and outliers • Exploratory data analysis • Summary tables and analytical reporting • PivotTables and aggregation • Data visualization and appropriate chart selection • Trend and pattern analysis • KPI development and performance analysis • Dashboard concepts and decision-support reporting • Research and survey data preparation • Interpretation and communication of analytical findings Depending on your needs, practical work may involve Excel, SPSS, Stata, R, SAS, Power BI, SQL, Python, or other relevant analytical tools. Software is never treated as a substitute for understanding: I explain the reasoning behind the method, the assumptions involved, the meaning of the output, and how to verify whether the conclusion is sound. My teaching approach follows a clear progression: understand the problem → identify the appropriate concept or method → develop the reasoning → calculate or analyze → verify the result → interpret it → communicate the conclusion We can work with your course syllabus, textbook, representative exercises, exam topics, dataset, statistical output, research question, spreadsheet, dashboard, engineering application, or professional analytical problem. Whether you are rebuilding mathematical foundations, preparing for an examination, studying advanced calculus, learning statistics, conducting econometric analysis, interpreting research data, or developing practical analytical skills, I will adapt the sessions to your level, objectives, and pace. My goal is not merely to help you obtain an answer, but to help you understand the reasoning, choose appropriate methods, verify results, interpret findings correctly, and solve new problems independently.

Mathematics & Statistics | Secondary & CEGEP | Passionate Data Scientist | Master's in StatisticsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

(English follows) Hi! I'm a full-time data scientist with a master's degree in statistics, and my mission is simple: to finally make math and statistics understandable for you. I know math can seem abstract and useless. But in my day-to-day work, I use these concepts to solve real problems—and I can show you how those formulas you learn make sense in real life. Why choose me? ✅ I make it concrete: I explain to you what math is really used for with real-world examples (sports, video games, social networks, etc.). ✅ Patience guaranteed: I taught at the University of Montreal and tutored for 5 years—I know how to adapt to your pace. ✅ No judgment: You can ask any question, even if you think it's "stupid" (it never is!). ✅ Proven results: My students improve their grades AND their self-confidence! What I can help you master: SECONDARY (all levels): Algebra and equations Functions (polynomial, exponential, logarithmic) Geometry and trigonometry Probability and statistics Preparation for ministerial exams (CST, TS, SN) Catch-up and upgrading CEGEP: Differential calculus (MAT 103, NYA) Integral calculus (MAT 203, NYB) Linear Algebra and Vector Geometry (MAT 105, NYC) Statistics (201-301, 201-DUA) Quantitative methods And any other mathematics courses in natural sciences, humanities, and technology. How I work with you: 📝 Before the session: You send me what you don't understand (homework, lecture notes, past exams). 🎯 During the session: We identify exactly WHERE the blockage occurs. I explain using simple words and visual examples. You practice while I guide you. We'll check that you can do it again on your own. ✅ After the session: I can share with you a summary of the concepts covered and practice exercises with solutions. I offer support via message for small questions between classes. My approach: no shortcuts, real foundations I'm not just giving you the answers or "tricks" to pass the exam. I'm making sure you truly understand the concepts, because that's how you'll become independent and improve your grades sustainably. Flexibility and accessibility: Online or in-person sessions on the north shore of Montreal. Flexible schedule: weekday evenings and weekends. Affordable price if you are in high school or Cégep (I want to help, not bankrupt you!). I am a mathematics and statistics professional who has: A master's degree in statistics From university teaching experience. 5 years of experience in tutoring. The ability to simplify complex concepts. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally UNDERSTAND Math Instead of Just Memorizing It Hey! Suzuki and traditional violin lessons offered in Montreal and BouchervilleTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Daphne is a teacher of both Suzuki and traditional violin, and has been teaching for the past 22 years. She has taught privately in Greece and the UK, at various music conservatories in Athens, the Junior Department of the Royal Academy of Music in London, St Catherine’s British School in Athens, the South Shore Conservatory in Boston, MA, and Ecole FACE in Montreal. She is a founding member of/teaches through Bariolage School of Music in Montreal and also offers lessons via FaceTime. Daphne also enjoys coaching ensembles, and has worked with the South Shore Conservatory Youth Orchestra (SSCYO). In 2012 she coached and directed the inaugural concert of the Athens Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Baroque Consortium (ASON) at the Goethe Institute in Athens. Learning a musical instrument can be an equally exciting and daunting journey. Having gone through ups and downs herself throughout her own musical career, she values the need to have a constant love of music and a nurturing, supportive teacher. Daphne’s aim is to create a solid technical foundation in all her students, regardless of their age, and create a challenging yet supportive environment. Being a Suzuki kid herself, she loves having come full circle, and sharing the principles of the Method with both Suzuki and traditional students.

Cello lessons for all ages and skill levels - Classical, pop, RCM, and healthy technique!Translate this text using Google Translate.

Cello lessons for all ages and skill levels - Classical, pop, RCM, and healthy technique!Translate this text using Google Translate.

I have experience teaching students at all ages and skill levels. I particularly enjoy helping beginners build their technique and love for the cello! My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, level, and personality. Some students want a clear path through RCM exams, scales, études, and repertoire. Others want to play for fun, return to the cello after years away, work on pop or film music, or feel less tense and frustrated when they practise. I’m happy working with beginners, adult learners, returning players, and more advanced students looking for technical or musical refinement. A major focus of my teaching is helping students make playing feel easier. That means building a reliable technique, but also learning how to notice unnecessary tension, use the body more naturally, practise more effectively, and avoid the common habits that can lead to pain or injury. I try to explain things clearly and practically, without making lessons feel overly rigid or intimidating. Depending on the student, lessons may include classical repertoire, RCM preparation, scales and études, popular music, and practice strategies. My music theory background also helps me explain how music works and how it is structured. Most of all, I want students to feel supported, curious, and capable. Cello can be difficult, but it shouldn’t feel mysterious or physically punishing. Whether your goal is an exam, a performance, or simply enjoying the instrument more, I’ll help you build the tools to make steady, satisfying progress and have fun in the process!

Private cello and improvisation lessons for beginners - intermediate and advancedTranslate this text using Google Translate.

English follows I am a graduate of the highest music schools and universities in Switzerland (HEMU Lausanne, HEM Geneva) and in Canada (McGill Schulich School of Music, Montreal). I give my lessons at home / online but I also travel if necessary. I teach cello technique using various teaching methods with great classics such as Navarra, Lee, Feuillard, Dotzauer, Popper, Starker and many more... I teach for all levels: beginners - adults - intermediate, advanced and professional and in various styles of music: classical, jazz and world music, (Eastern Europe, Balkans, Near and Middle East, Asia Minor, North Africa and Brazil). I work a lot on posture in my teaching, because it is an element that I believe is essential in teaching a musical instrument and which is unfortunately not taken seriously or considered enough. I had the chance to work with Mrs. Aude Hauser who is a recognized physiotherapist in Switzerland and Europe specialized in musicians. I am a certified teacher from the Conservatories and Higher Music Schools of Switzerland, but also from the Association of Graduate Music Teachers of Quebec (APMQ), as well as universities in Canada. Instrument-wise, I also have a small cello collection, to be discussed. I also teach on weekends, depending on my availability. Teacher Raef, is an experienced teacher. My son enjoyed his first online lesson today with Teacher Raef. He’s a very dedicated teacher, dedicated towards his students learning needs and supports. Teacher Raef clears all doubts related to the topic instantly and with great clarity. He guides the student in each and every steps with patience and understanding. The best part of Teacher Raef is that he always encourages the student with his positive attitudes. This develops a sense of confidence in the pupil. Thank you Teacher Raef for your support and guidance to my son!!

From only one lesson, I feel my son's confidence has increased hugely. Mr. Sarr understands that not only is my son learning to speak French but is simultaneously taking Chemistry in French at the same time. Even with this challenge, Mr. Sarr is able to walk my son through the process with patience, understanding, kindness and great knowledge!

Stef is a wonderful teacher. She's great at communication and checks in frequently. She can target where you are struggling and helps you with exactly what you need. She's also very approachable and encouraging!
