The music begins as soon as the song is performed; you don't have to wait until you reach a specific level! This is why we work on interpretation directly in my classes, always linked to pedagogy to develop the right vocal techniques to protect and boost your voice. We begin each class with warm-up exercises, muscle activation and body relaxation, as well as educational exercises adapted to your needs. Then we work on one or more songs. I encourage experienced adults to come in with their voice already warmed up, but it's not at all necessary if that's not possible for you! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I offer vocal coaching in English or French, adapted to your needs as an artist. My teaching is based on pedagogy studied at the New Zealand School of Music (Bachelor of Music and Postgraduate Diploma in Classical Voice), and I have experience singing and teaching in pop/rock styles, as well as folk and Scottish Trad. I believe that the music starts as soon as we start really interpreting the song, and not once we've reached a certain level. This means that we'll also approach a song with musicality, of course with pedagogy informing a good technique to protect your voice, and enable it to do what you want it to do, musically!
