In the classes we will address the different elements that make up music in different styles, knowing the particular language of each one. To do this, we will work on the different tools that we have with each instrument at the level at which each one is. We all know music but many times they make us believe that no, that it is necessary to know how to read and write. That is the graphic part of the language that we will learn little by little, music is a compendium of many other things. Some that we already know and others to know.

We will study the use of the keys and the positions of the clarinet, or the sax, the best way to position ourselves whether we play standing or sitting, the most efficient way to use the air, the diaphragm, the muscles. We will learn to form a good embouchure and we will develop a study method adapted to each one, according to their tastes, possibilities and interests.
I work with boys and girls from different parts of the world as well as with adults and the elderly.

In my experience I learned that, truly, the greatest limitation that we find ourselves is the very feeling of not being able, of believing that we cannot. The support of a dedicated teacher is essential to get out of those places where we accidentally enter and that sometimes limit us. We all feel that sometime. It is time for us to remedy it.

About Me

Sor Clarinet Professor at the Avellaneda Popular Music School, the first popular music school in Latin America. My study and personal development is mostly focused on jazz and improvisation, but I am curious about world music, especially those that use wind instruments.
I am part of several projects simultaneously, such as Dyslexics Rock Orchestra, Brillo Urbano Big Band, A Seagull and the Portband among others.

In the classes I seek to find what means something to each student, that which brings them closer to the world of music and work from there to find a functional and practical study method that adapts to the possibilities of each one but above all to their interests. .
Technique can be approached from several axes at the same time: theory, popular music, sounds, timbral, corporality, rhythm, composition, improvisation, or harmony.

Classes are face-to-face or by video call.

Education

I studied Folklore, Tango and Jazz at the Avellaneda School of Popular Music and at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory, the Higher Technique in Jazz.
I had teachers like Ricardo Cavalli, Carlos Michellini or Gustavo Hunt.

Experience / Qualifications

I was part of the San Isidro Concert Orchestra with which we played in prominent places such as the Legislature of the city of Buenos Aires and the Faculty of Law.
I was a member of the team of live musicians of the play Venganzas Subtle that ran all 2018.
I was part of Buena Cosecha Reggae Ska Band and Conurbano Big Band,
I am currently part of the Nefertiti Jazz Quartet and the Brillo Urbano Big Band.
