for my Oboe lessons I like to focus on depending on the personal needs of the student are breathing technique, finger skills, posture and creativity. Most importantly though I try to convey my passion for this unique instrument and support my student on his personal journey of learning and growth. In order to create beautiful music, you will not only have to master playing the instrument but also making high quality reeds. Thats why also offer lessons on the craft of reed making, from the basics of making your first reed to perfecting concert grade reeds. My piano lessons cover a wide range of musical styles from Classical music, through Jazz all the way to contemporary pop music, depending on the students interests. Depending on the needs of the student the teaching can include and focus on different technical aspects such as finger flexibility, music theory or improvisation.

I'll guide you from day one: Personalized advice for renting or buying a quality instrument at the best price. Choosing the basic equipment to get started without stress. 🎓 My teaching philosophy With 13 years of experience teaching at a conservatory, my teaching method is based on constant interaction. I don't just give instructions: I help you understand your body's sensations so that the technique becomes natural. I have been an oboist in the Belgian National Orchestra since 2024. I offer oboe and English horn lessons for all levels and ages, whether you want to learn this beautiful instrument or prepare for concerts, exams, etc. Of course, the course content is based on your preferences and adapted to your level and goals.
