Learn digital illustration through personalized lessons focused on the areas you want or need to improve the most. The classes are adapted to your current level, artistic goals, and the kind of work you want to create.

We can explore different illustration techniques and approaches, including black-and-white artwork, grayscale painting, full-color illustration, character-focused pieces, and more stylized or rendered work. Rather than following the exact same program for every student, the lessons can focus on the techniques that are most useful for your development.

Depending on your goals, we can work on composition, color theory, lighting, anatomy, perspective, shape language, character design, visual storytelling, concept art, game art, and other fundamentals of digital illustration.

You can also bring your own illustrations, sketches, studies, or personal projects to class. We can analyze what is working, identify areas that could be improved, and work directly on the skills necessary to take your artwork further.

The goal is not only to learn specific tools or techniques, but also to develop a stronger understanding of the artistic decisions behind an illustration and gradually build a workflow that works for you.

Extra information

You should have a drawing tablet and the digital art software of your choice. I can teach using Photoshop, but the artistic principles covered in the lessons can be applied to most digital painting and drawing software.

You are welcome to bring your own artwork, references, sketches, or ongoing projects so the lessons can be focused on your specific goals

About Me

I'm currently an indie game developer working on an upcoming title planned for release at the end of this year. My work combines game development with a strong focus on visual art, including digital illustration, character design, concept art, and 3D character creation.

I have previous teaching experience with groups of students, including classes focused on traditional drawing, as well as some game development workshops at URI University in Brazil. This experience helped me develop a practical and adaptable teaching approach, especially when working with students with different skill levels and artistic goals.

My lessons are personalized around what each student wants or needs to improve. We can focus on fundamentals such as anatomy, composition, color, lighting, perspective, and shape language, or work directly on illustration, character design, concept art, game art, and personal projects.

I like to teach through practice, analysis, and direct feedback. We can work on exercises, study references, review your artwork, identify areas that need improvement, and develop a workflow that better fits your own artistic goals and style.

Whether you are a beginner or already have experience, the lessons can be adapted to your current level and focused on the areas that will have the greatest impact on your development.

My background in technology also led me to work extensively with digital tools and game development, where I developed a strong interest in digital illustration, character art, and 3D production.

Experience / Qualifications

I have practical experience with digital illustration, character design, digital sculpting, and game art workflows.

My main tools include Adobe Photoshop and ZBrush, as well as Blender and Substance 3D Painter for 3D character workflows. My experience includes digital painting, character and creature design, anatomy studies, stylized artwork, digital sculpting, texturing, and preparing artwork and assets for game projects.

I also have experience developing games, which gives me a practical understanding of how illustration, concept art, character design, and 3D assets are used in an actual production pipeline.

My teaching approach is project-oriented and focused on helping students understand artistic fundamentals while applying them directly to their own work.

INTRODUCTION

I'm a young professional in the film industry and have worked with partners such as Vice, Sony, Unicef and WWF, as well as many musicians, architects, non-profit organizations and independent creators. My experience spans director, editor, DOP, assistant editor, focus puller, author, electrician and production assistant.

I studied Cinema at LUCA School of Arts Brussels and Supermedia at UMPRUM in Prague. My strength lies mainly in combining music and cinematography: experimental video art, arthouse films, music videos, and dance and music films. I also completed training in team coordination, so I can edit efficiently and stay organised.

I work both for large companies and the music industry, as well as on small, independent project, depending on whether the music speaks to me.

I'll teach you how to edit videos and films, for personal or commercial use. My software of choice is the full Adobe suite; for sound I use Ableton, and to a lesser extent Pro Tools.

I've completed several artistic residencies as part of my own practice and describe myself as a multidisciplinary artist. My work has appeared in several international magazines with around 700,000 monthly readers, and has received international attention.

I am a visual artist born in Barcelona, settled in Belgium since 2017. As an artist I have accumulated experience for the last 25 years. I am graduated with an Academic Bachelor in Fine Arts in the University of Barcelona and graduated as a Master in Visual Arts at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerpen.

I am specialised in painting, drawing, experimental films, installations, language, sound and curating. In other words, I am a multidisciplinary artist.

I understand the artistic practice as a way to understand ourselves and the situations which surrounds us. In my classes I don't teach how to do Art, but as how to say something through your artistic work. With me you can work independently, with a coach who will challenge you with some assignments and giving feedback to your personal concerns.

In addition, you will learn how to work with several mediums, preparing your own material: paintings, canvases, and so on.

You will not only receive individual coaching but as encourage you to look other artists or take into account other references connected with your concerns.

Almost every musician can play some piano, but that does not mean they are pianists or piano teachers.
I offer piano lessons at your place for an affordable price.
I have a diploma in piano pedagogy. I studied didactics and methodology for teaching piano. I use modern methods and piano books. I have a big collection of music sheets available for my students. I am also interested in discovering historical methods of piano pedagogy that were used by the biggest composers such as W. A. Mozart and J. S. Bach.
My experiences: I've been teaching for 12 years and have taught almost 40 students, among them around 5 adults. Egg tempera is one of the most ancient historical art painting technique. It preserved as a main technique to paint orthodox religious icons. It is possible to learn it and paint your own icon. I have 12 years of practice teaching people how to do it. We work together step by step to understand the technique, the way to prepare wooden panel to paint an icon and the techniques of making a good project to make the icon fit to the board. I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London.

Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you!

Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs.

The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language.

(Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. Let it be the starting point, venture out and discover it from various angles and ways of expressing it. But also be mindful that as we grow our interests can change and as they change, we must remain honest and respond accordingly such that our artistic language can also grow.)

I am a professional visual artist with more than 30 years of experience exhibiting, researching and developing my practice internationally.
