INTRODUCTION (scroll down for the course description — see below) I'm a young professional in the film industry and have worked with partners such as Vice, Sony, Unicef and WWF, as well as many musicians, architects, non-profit organizations and independent creators. My experience spans director, editor, DOP, assistant editor, focus puller, author, electrician and production assistant. I studied Cinema at LUCA School of Arts Brussels and Supermedia at UMPRUM in Prague. My strength lies mainly in combining music and cinematography: experimental video art, arthouse films, music videos, and dance and music films. I also completed training in team coordination, so I can edit efficiently and stay organised. I work both for large companies and the music industry, as well as on small, independent project, depending on whether the music speaks to me. I'll teach you how to edit videos and films, for personal or commercial use. My software of choice is the full Adobe suite; for sound I use Ableton, and to a lesser extent Pro Tools. I've completed several artistic residencies as part of my own practice and describe myself as a multidisciplinary artist. My work has appeared in several international magazines with around 700,000 monthly readers, and has received international attention. COURSE DESCRIPTION In this course you'll learn: Which software you need and how the interface works The difference between codecs and technical specifications (aspect ratio, frame rate, ...) The key features and possibilities of Adobe Premiere Practical editing using your own footage, through focused editing sessions, working toward a result you're happy with How to build visual and musical rhythm and explore sound The difference between a phenomenological, intuitive approach and a prepared, structured setup How to maintain a healthy workflow, for yourself and your computer Keyboard shortcuts and efficient cutting and editing techniques How to export correctly with the right settings How to communicate with clients How to prepare yourself visually for a project The basics of color correction and grading How to properly deliver/transfer files How to keep your workflow as minimal and streamlined as possible

Very thankful that our paths have crossed, Antoine is a mature, approachable young guy who knows a lot about filmmaking and writing screenplays. He has helped me out tremendously with my screenplay! He knows his stuff and has inspired me a lot. We will meet again soon :)

Gaetan is a strong communicator, and managed to guide me through the fundamentals of 3D composition in After Effects in our first one hour session. Highly recommend.
