Interactive and simplified medical lectures aimed at understanding and connecting information rather than relying solely on memorization. The lecture may cover various medical subjects, such as: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Histology, Embryology, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Parasitology, Immunology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Family Medicine, and Psychiatry During the lesson we will work on: * The topic is explained step by step in a clear and simple way. * Explaining medical terms and concepts in an academic manner, simplifying them when necessary. * Linking new information to basic concepts and prior information to form a complete picture of the subject. * Focus on the important points and high-yield points that need to be thoroughly understood and reviewed. * Discuss the difficult questions and points and make sure the student understands before moving on to a new part. * Solve practical and evaluative questions to ensure comprehension of the content. * Review the most important points at the end of the lesson and identify what needs further study or review. Providing practical tips for organizing study, revision, and exam preparation. The level and pace of the explanation are adapted to the student's needs, whether the goal is to understand a new topic, review the curriculum, solve problems, or prepare for an exam.

Tutoring & exam preparation in Chemistry, Biochemistry & Organic Chemistry (University & school level)Translate this text using Google Translate.

Hi there My name is René. I combine sound academic expertise in chemistry and biochemistry with over 10 years of teaching experience (more than 5 of which were successfully online). I already hold a Bachelor's degree in Food Technology (grade 1.7) and am currently completing my second Bachelor's degree in Chemical Biology at TU Dortmund (grade 1.8), after which I will immediately begin my Master's degree in Chemistry. My primary focus is on organic chemistry, particularly organic natural product synthesis, retrosynthesis, organic catalysis, and organometallic chemistry. My bachelor's thesis at TU Dortmund was on the topic of "Synthesis of a substituted 2,3-dihydrofuro[2,3-b]tropone as a model compound in studies on the total synthesis of marine tetraterpenoids of the gukulenin family." To further my scientific expertise, I am currently taking four specialized master's modules at Ruhr University Bochum with Prof. Gerald Dyker: Stoichiometric Organometallics, Catalytic Organometallics, Designing Organic Syntheses, and Competing Reactions. In addition, I have excellent grades in physical chemistry (1.3 in PC 1 & 2 and 1.7 in quantum mechanics/PC 3) and a strong foundation in biochemistry. In my teaching, I emphasize a deep, logical understanding rather than rote memorization: I explain organic reactions from the ground up using molecular principles such as MO theory, the HSAB principle, quantum mechanics, and pKa values. I place particular emphasis on the precise distinction between thermodynamics and kinetics – for example, when differentiating between basicity and nucleophilicity – in order to make reaction pathways such as nucleophilic substitutions or eliminations predictable. Over the past 10 years, I have successfully guided numerous students of chemistry, biochemistry, medicine, pharmacy, and engineering through their most challenging exams. My students regularly achieve top marks in written and oral exams, and I am happy to provide feedback and references upon request. Whether you need preparation for demanding university exams or advanced study at the master's level, please feel free to contact me so we can easily arrange an initial consultation.

IGCSE Biology Edexcel (AL & OL) | Comprehensive SupportTranslate this text using Google Translate.

IGCSE Biology Edexcel (AL & OL) | Comprehensive SupportTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Master IGCSE and A-Level Biology with structured, exam-focused lessons designed to build strong understanding and improve exam performance. My classes are tailored to the Pearson Edexcel Biology specification, covering both International GCSE (IGCSE/O-Level) and Advanced Level (AS & A2) content. Rather than relying on memorization, I focus on helping students understand biological concepts, connect topics, and apply their knowledge to unfamiliar exam questions. Lessons can include concept explanation, diagrams and visual learning, worked examples, exam-style questions, past-paper practice, and detailed feedback. We will also focus on developing the skills Edexcel exams require, including interpreting data, analyzing experimental results, explaining biological processes, and constructing precise answers that meet mark-scheme requirements. For students preparing for exams, I can provide targeted revision based on their current level, identify knowledge gaps, and develop a practical study strategy for upcoming assessments. For students studying throughout the academic year, lessons can follow their school curriculum while reinforcing difficult topics and building confidence progressively. Topics may include cell biology, biological molecules, enzymes, transport, genetics, biodiversity, ecology, physiology, respiration, photosynthesis, immunity, biotechnology, and practical skills, depending on the qualification and specification. Whether you are starting a new topic, catching up on difficult material, or preparing intensively for your final examinations, the goal is the same: understand the biology, answer questions effectively, and approach your exams with confidence. Suitable for students seeking individual tutoring, exam preparation, revision support, or ongoing academic guidance.

Medical Biochemistry by US-Trained PhD | Pre-Med & University StudentsTranslate this text using Google Translate.

Struggling to make sense of biochemistry? You are not alone—and there is a highly structured, better way to learn. With over 10 years of teaching experience and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, I know exactly how overwhelming biochemistry can feel. My sessions go beyond rote memorization to give students a true structural understanding, rooted in practical application and clinical cases. One of my recent pre-med students initially found it impossible to connect pathways like glycolysis and the Krebs cycle. Through our sessions, she began seeing the bigger picture, visualizing how each molecule and enzyme plays a critical role in health, disease, and cellular metastasis. Whether you are tackling enzyme kinetics, protein-ligand interactions, or complex metabolic processes, I combine deep knowledge from my active research in computational biology with a teaching approach that makes each concept clear and memorable. This is not just tutoring; it is an opportunity to truly master medical biochemistry. Ready to transform your understanding? Let’s work together to make biochemistry not just manageable, but fascinating. I have a flexible schedule—book a first class to discuss what you are struggling with, and I will design a personalized curriculum to help you conquer even the most complex concepts. 📚 Ready? Book your class today.

Amazing Tutor for Teens - So Glad We Found Younes! I was initially hesitant about online French tutoring for my 14-year-old daughter, especially since she wasn't thrilled about starting classes in the first place. However, from the very first session with Younes, all my worries disappeared. He has an incredible ability to connect with this age group. He immediately broke the ice, made the lessons engaging, and somehow managed to get my daughter genuinely interested and actually looking forward to her next class! We've now had around 8 classes with Younes, and the difference in my daughter's confidence in school is remarkable. She's participating more in her French class and seems much more comfortable speaking and understanding the language. Younes is patient, encouraging, and clearly knows how to make learning French fun and accessible for teenagers. He creates a positive and supportive learning environment, and his passion for the language is contagious.

Alan is a very friendly and knowledgeable teacher. He was always understanding and worked with me on my weak areas to improve my SAT score. Alan helped me score above my target score in both math and English. He provided his own material and took the time to work on assignments that were unclear even outside of our class so as not to prolong the class. I highly recommend Alan as a tutor and am very glad I found him.

The best teacher I have ever had! He really works with every student the way it works best for them, instead of best for him. We've worked on biochem for 3-ish months and I've hated the subject and couldn't bring myself to even open the book and with him I passed my exam with a 85%. Can only recommend!!
